Our work

This is what we fight for every day:

Opportunity and access for every Territorian

A safe, strong community where our diversity is celebrated

A bright, prosperous future for the Territory

Transparent and accountable government decision-making

Every person deserves the opportunity to thrive and to give back to our community.

Good government means building strong foundations and maximising our resources to help people be their best, regardless of their background, where they live or where they are from.

Investing in young people

It means investing in and lifting up our young people by making sure they have access to a quality education, to training pathways, to meaningful employment. It means ensuring they feel part of the community and are encouraged to contribute and have a say in their future.

Strong communities

It means investing in our remote communities – because strong and healthy remote communities are better for the people living there and are better for people in urban areas because it stops the need for people to drift into town.

Strong economy

It means investing in major projects and in our key sectors, so we are growing and diversifying the economy in a sustainable way, attracting private investment and creating jobs for Territorians and for people coming to the Territory seeking opportunity.

Access to services

It means ensuring every Territorian has access to quality services, including health and wellbeing services, so they are able to thrive.

Investing in growth

Territory Labor has a track record of investment in better housing, education and health services leading to safer, stronger, healthier communities, as well as supporting local businesses and encouraging private investment so we have a sustainable, thriving economy.

They remain key priorities.

Working in partnership

We are stronger when we work together.

In Opposition, we see our role as helping to raise the voices of everyone in our community – whether its mums and dads or small businesses or community groups or service organisations.

We all have more in common than we have differences.

The number one thing that brings us together is our shared love of the Territory.

Working together, we can seize the opportunities as well as meet the challenges we face.
