Every Territorian deserves somewhere appropriate, affordable and safe to live. But right now, across the Territory, our housing system is under enormous strain, with more and more Territorians feeling the impact.


There are many things government can and should be doing to get more homes built more quickly.


For the past two years, we have been talking to industry, construction businesses, developers, the community housing sector and social services to understand how the NT can better address housing supply and affordability.


This discussion paper reflects those conversations and offers a range of options for alleviating our housing pressures.
